RNIB recruits Post Office finance chief to senior role

The Royal National Institute of Blind People has appointed Kathryn Sherratt as its chief financial officer.

She joins this month from the Post Office Ltd, where she was finance director.

“I’m delighted to join RNIB and support its strategy to meet the needs of blind and partially sighted people. I am excited to work with the team to create a brighter future,” said Sherratt who has also spent a decade working for Deloitte and has had senior roles at Barclays and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

In addition she is a qualified health and wellbeing coach and has a history of sight conditions in her family.

RNIB chief executive Matt Stringer said: “We’re delighted that Kathryn has decided to join the executive leadership team at RNIB.

“She brings a wealth of experience of financial management, which I am sure will be critical in shaping an efficient and agile RNIB ready to deliver its strategy and meet the needs of blind and partially sighted people.

“I would also like to thank our outgoing chief financial officer Stuart Fox for his work in moving our finances towards a sustainable footing over the last nine years which has ensured Kathryn has inherited an organisation in a strong financial position despite the pressures which face the charity sector.”
