Crohn’s and Colitis UK is stepping up its digital transformation post-pandemic with a focus on providing more online ‘self-service’ support to its beneficiaries.
The health charity is creating an online hub to “engage with and support its audiences”, according to agency WPNC, which has been appointed to develop its digital services.
The focus on self-service information is “especially important as due to stigma and misunderstanding surrounding the conditions, many are left suffering in silence”, said WPNC.
The increase in digital support is also as a response to increased demand for online information among beneficiaries amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We want to ensure we’re developing products that are inclusive for all of our audiences, including harder-to-reach groups, and that’s why co-creation and ongoing analysis and insights will be key to the success of the transformation,” said the charity’s digital manager Kian Scott-Loach said:
WPNC managing director digital and deputy chief executive Vicky Reeves added: “The charity is keen to take a user-centric approach to developing a new website hub that will deliver services in an accessible and inclusive way, and also help maximise income generation.”
Crohn’s and Colitis are the two most common forms of inflammatory bowel disease.
