Finance director hire gives charity all female top level team

POhWER has appointed Vicky Hilpert as its permanent director of finance and resources, giving the advice charity an all female executive team.

Former NHS senior staffer Hilpert has been covering the post on an interim basis since April and will take over the role permanently from next month leading the charity’s strategic business planning and budgeting.

She joins a leadership team that is headed by chief executive Helen Moulinos and includes deputy chief executive Elyzabeth Hawkes, people director Julie Born and fundraising & engagement director Fiona McArthur-Worbey.

Hilpert is also a former chief operating officer at the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.

The charity says it has now closed its gender pay cap and almost eight in ten of its workforce are women.

“I am thrilled to welcome Vicky permanently to POhWER’s executive leadership team,” said Moulinos.

“Vicky brings with her experience, knowledge and insight of finance and resources. She will make a brilliant addition to our charity helping our efforts to achieve our mission of making sure everyone who wants to be heard is so.”

Hilpert added: “I am delighted to be joining POhWER permanently as the Director of Finance and Resources. It has always been important to me to work within organisations that deliver public benefit and make a real difference to people’s lives.”
