Charities are being invited to apply for an advertising industry awards scheme where agencies compete to carry out a campaign for a good cause.
The Creative Shootout awards scheme sees agencies present a campaign idea for a charity, which they have been handed just four hours earlier. The winning agency gets the chance to handle the campaign for the charity.
The award scheme will then make a £10,000 contribution to the winning agency’s fee.
This year’s awards scheme is focused on campaigns supporting young people and the elderly amid the cost of living crisis.
Charities wanting to be named as the award scheme’s chosen charity are urged to send in up to 223 words on why creativity is important to their charity in 2023, by the deadline of 1 July 2022.
Crisis, FareShare and UNICEF are among charities to previously take part in the awards.
The live final will take place on 26 January 2023 in London.
“Over the years we’ve had some major causes recognised through The Creative Shootout,” said award scheme founder Johnny Pitt.
“And right now, the cost-of-living crisis is having a devastating impact on both the young and elderly.
“So, we hope charities of all sizes and sectors will apply, whether they help with community programmes, access to mental health support, initiatives to heat homes, the provision of fresh food, meals, hygiene products or transport – the list goes on. “
