New fund opens for air ambulance charities

Air ambulance charities will be able to apply for a series of grants from a new fund aimed at supporting patient outcomes and crew wellbeing.

The Air Ambulances UK Improving Outcomes Fund will allow air ambulance charities to apply for grants ranging form £5,000 to £25,000.

The first of its kind fund has been funded by HCC Solicitors and Slater and Gordpn Lawyers UK to help ensure patients and crews receive the support they need following a series accident.

It will help air ambulance charities to provide vital aftercare services, improving long-term outcomes for those affected.

"The AAUK Improving Outcomes Fund is a crucial step forward in ensuring that those affected by traumatic incidents receive the ongoing support they need,” Air Ambulances UK interim CEO, Lindsay Boswell CBE said.

“Our partnership with HCC Solicitors and Slater and Gordon Lawyers UK reflects our shared commitment to improving patient outcomes and supporting the dedicated crews who provide lifesaving care. We look forward to seeing the real impact this fund will have across the air ambulance sector."

HCC Solicitors and Slater and Gordon Lawyers UK have committed to create this fund with Air Ambulances UK. Both law firms work nationally in serious injury work, supporting clients to rebuild their lives through care, treatment and rehabilitation after life-changing incidents.
