Campaign group against corporate abuses names new chief

Corporate Justice Coalition (CJC), which campaigns against human rights abuses and environmental harm caused by businesses, has named Eleanor Rosenbach as its new director.

She joins the charity this week from the Right to Education Initiative, where she was its communications manager.

She has also worked for NGOs in the UK and South America, including the International Organisation for Migration, Centre for Justice and International Law and Médicine Sans Frontières.

“I am delighted to be joining CJC, and to be leading it into the next phase of its development,” said Rosenbach.

“The organisation has continually achieved impressive impact, and I am honoured to continue its legacy. In this era of perma-crisis, rising inequality, and growing corporate power, collaborative efforts are our most powerful means of achieving justice and accountability.

“I am looking forward to working with the board, my colleagues, and dedicated partners from across civil society to ensure corporations are held accountable for violating human rights and environmental standards.”

CJC chair Elaine Gilligan added: “Her passion for justice and career dedicated to change makes her the ideal leader to advance our mission to protect rights and end corporate abuse.”
