Vision Foundation appoints new CEO

The Vision Foundation has appointed Judith Brodie as its interim chief executive for the next ten months.

Brodie will step into the leadership role for the best part of a year while current CEO, Olivia Curno, is on maternity leave.

She has held a number of leadership roles at charities including Arthritis Care and the venture philanthropy charity Impetus Trust, as well as interim chief executive roles for Beating Bowel Cancer, Bond and 38 Degrees.

She worked with VSO as UK director and global funding & brand director and has held a number of board roles for both the NHS and charity sector.

"I am absolutely delighted to be asked to lead the Vision Foundation through this important period of growth and development," she said.

"I look forward to working with the trustees, staff and the wider visually impaired community over the coming months as we continue moving the charity forward."

The Vision Foundation’s chair of trustees, Anna Tylor added: "Judith brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, and the board and I have every confidence she will continue to maintain momentum and help to accelerate progress on key projects this year".
