ACEVO appoints new trustees

ACEVO, the charity leaders' membership body, has appointed three new trustees.

Wanda Wyporska, executive director of Equality Trust, Kate Allen, chief executive of Autism at Kingwood and Rosie Slater-Carr, CIO of British Red Cross will join the board on 6 December 2019.

The leadership body said Wyporska and Allen were both elected by the ACEVO membership, while Slater-Carr was co-opted to the board by existing trustees.

The new trustees will take the places of ACEVO’s vice chair Kate Welch, director and founder of Acumen Community Development Trust, Kulbinder Kang, chief executive of People First and Othman Moqbel, chief executive of Syria Relief. All three trustees will be stepping down after reaching the end of their term of service.

The board plans to appoint a new vice chair from current trustees at its December board meeting on 5 December.

ACEVO chair, Rosie Ferguson said:“I would like to thank Kate, Kulbinder and Othman for their commitment to ACEVO. In the last few years their expertise and guidance have helped ACEVO to refresh its vision, rebrand and launch an ambitious new strategy.

“I am looking forward to working with and learning from Wanda, Kate and Rosie so that we can continue to provide support and inspiration to all our members.”
