Dozens of Women and Girl’s charities including Women’s Aid are taking part in a £2m match funding campaign this week.
Big Give’s Women and Girls match funding campaign raised more than £2m for 121 charities last year through more than 8,400 public donations and match funding from the platform’s funding partners that include philanthropists, foundations and companies.
This year’s campaign runs from today until 18 October and includes Women’s Aid, SmartWorks, The Girl’s Network, Endometriosis UK, Women for Refugee Women and the Malala Fund UK.
Women’s Aid also took part last year and raised £63,510 during the campaign.

“This campaign will provide funding to charities that are tackling the issues facing women and girls, such as domestic abuse, gender inequality in the workplace, and period poverty,” said Big Give managing director Alex Day.
“With over half of the world’s population female, the need is more pressing than ever, especially as so many of the charities working in this space are underfunded.”
Big Give’s other regular match funding campaigns include its Christmas Challenge, which raised a£29m in a week in 2022, a record for this push.
The fundraising platform aims to raise £1bn for good causes by 2030 through its match funding model.
