Small Charities urged to apply for £10,000 worth of free research support

Research consultancy nfpResearch has announced details of its inaugural award scheme to offer a small charity up to £10,000 worth of free research project support.

Through its Small Charity Research Award the successful applicant will be supported with the design and fielding of their research project.

Typical projects the award could cover include a survey of with supporters and 10 in depth interviews, three to four focus groups with supporters or a public survey and stakeholder perception project.

The award is open to charities with an income of under £1m, which “often do not have the budget for research projects”, said the consultancy.

The deadline for submissions is 5pm Friday 27th January.

“We have tried to make the application form as simple as possible,” said the consultancy.

“We want to know a few things about your charity, the research you’ve done in the past (if any), and what the questions are that you need answers to. We will then get in touch with shortlisted charities to speak about your needs and will then select one charity to work with.”

The consultancy announced plans to introduce the award scheme earlier this year when it rebranded as nfpResearch from its previous name nfpSynergy.
