One of UK’s oldest charities names next CEO

Sight loss charity Henshaws’ interim chief executive Sally Daniels has taken the role on a permanent basis.

Davies, who joined the charity two years ago as finance director, has been its temporary CEO for the last 10 months.

“As I approach the two-year anniversary of my time at Henshaws I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to lead the organisation as CEO,” said Henshaw, who is a qualified accountant.

She has worked for Zurich Insurance and for seven years ran a tourism business in Croatia.

“We are fortunate to have an extremely experienced senior management team and Trustee Board. Together we will be working hard to create an exciting future for Henshaws, supporting more people to go beyond expectations and live more independent lives”, she added.

North Yorkshire and Greater Manchester based Henshaws is one of the UK’s oldest charities and is now in its 186th year of supporting people with sight loss.
