Mark Hews, group chief executive of Ecclesiastical Insurance Group, said: “Through the second phase of our Movement for Good Awards we are actively championing innovation, giving charities the backing they need to propel their plans forward and turn creative ideas into practical solutions that benefit society."
The first half if the £1m funding award was handed out earlier this year and focused on small grants. This saw 500 charities awarded grants of £1,000. People were urged to vote for their favourite charity, with the award winners picked at random.
Winners include The Good Grief Trust, Dudley Crossroads, Berkshire Autistic Society and Wessex Children’s Hospice Trust.
