Harry Kane Foundation announces charity link up

Harry Kane’s mental health charity has formed a partnership with Bounce Forward, which supports people to build their emotional wellbeing.

The Harry Kane Foundation and Bounce Forward will provide free psychological training and educational resources to schools and workplaces, called Healthy Minds, through the link up.

The deal has been announced on World Mental Health Day (10 October) and aims to ensure all schools have access to the content, which has been written by Kane and his wife Kate, free of charge and for it to be embedded into the curriculum.

Initially 17 schools across nine regions are taking part.

“I’m proud of the work my foundation has achieved over the last year and am excited that we will extend our reach and impact through a new partnership with Bounce Forward,” said England and Bayern Munich striker Kane.

“We are supporting Bounce Forward because they are experts in their field and have developed evidence-based resources that align perfectly with our aim of promoting the benefits of positive self-belief and the connection between physical and mental health.”

Bounce Forward chief executive Lucy Bailey added: “Harry and Kate’s commitment to influence how we think about mental health is perfectly timed. When it comes to mental health, prevention is so much better than cure, and our psychological health is as important as physical health.”

According to recent research, three in five parents worry about their children’s mental health and just under two thirds of teachers say students are turning to them at least once a week for advice on their wellbeing.

Harry Kane’s charity was launched last year with a focus to tackling stigma around mental health. It is a restricted fund registered under Prism The Gift Fund.
