Funding chief takes top role at Christian pilgrimage charity

HCPT, which supports disadvantaged and disabled young people to travel on pilgrimages to Lourdes, has named Tricia Macfarlane as its new chief executive.

She joins later this month from Scottish fund management charity Impact Funding Partners, where she has had the same role for the last four years.

Macfarlane has also held senior leadership roles at charities for the last 16 years, including stints as director of development at Simon Community Scotland, head of campaigns and partnerships at Mary’s Meals, and as head of development and change at Maggies’ Centres in Glasgow.

“I’m delighted that Tricia is joining HCPT in the run up to our 70th anniversary in 2026,” said HCPT chair Emma Derby.

“Tricia will build on our successes to date and will develop the organisation further in order to continue to deliver our mission to enable those who may need help to experience the joy and friendship of pilgrimage”.
