Charity think tank hires experiences firm founder as new CEO

New Philanthropy Capital (NPC) has announced that experiences firm founder Jonathan Simmons will take over as its next chief executive in November.

He takes over from former Downing Street advisor Dan Corry, who announced his departure in May, after 13 years leading the charity sector think tank.

Simmons is co-founder of experiences firm Yuup as well as being a trustee of Shelter, Prism and JW3.

He is also a former consultant at children’s charity Lumos, supporting it with restructuring.

He said he has “admired” the think tank’s work “for years”.

“It is a great time for the impact sector,” said Simmons.

“Every day, I encounter ambitious, innovative, and impatient people addressing the pressing issues of our time.

“Over the last five years, I have been fortunate to have worked with many of them. I am looking forward to working with NPC, amplifying impactful projects, measuring outcomes, and facilitating increased funding. I can't wait to join this community of super smart, passionate people.”
