Care charity boss steps down

Paul Newman is stepping down as chief executive of care charity Greensleeves Care to join a private sector care organisation.

He will be leaving the charity, which he has led for more than a decade, in February next year to become CEO of We Care Group and Summit Care Group.

“Leading Greensleeves Care has been the greatest privilege of my career to date,” said Newman.

“I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together, from an innovative approach to growing the organisation, to delivering award-winning, high-quality care for older people.”

Greensleeves Care chair Dallas Pounds added: “Paul has been an outstanding leader, steering Greensleeves Care through a period of exceptional growth, the challenges of the pandemic and setting a strong foundation for its future.

“On behalf of the Board, colleagues, and residents, I extend our heartfelt thanks for his dedication and vision. We wish him every success in his new role.”

“Greensleeves Care is now embarking on the process of recruiting its next chief executive. The charity remains committed to its mission of delivering high-quality, person-centred care, and its approach of helping people feel good about care.”
