Care charity CEO retires after 16 years in the role

Anna Galliford, the chief executive of care charity FitzRoy, is to retire in July after more than 16 years in the role.

During her tenure the charity’s income has grown from £10m to £60m and its services have branched out from 20 to 110 locations.

Galliford joined Fitzroy 21 years ago as its finance director, before being promoted to CEO in 2008.

Prior to joining the charity, she held senior financial roles in the private sector, including a stint as financial planning and analysis manager at Avis rental car firm.

“Anna’s outstanding contribution over 20 years of service, has made a real and
lasting difference in the lives of so many, said Fitzroy’s chair Martin Kyndt.

“The quality of her caring leadership is an inspiration to all our staff. We would like to offer Anna our sincere gratitude for all she has achieved and the exceptional contribution she has made to FitzRoy.”

The charity provides care to people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues.
