Guide Dogs has appointed a private sector business leader to be its next chief executive.
Andrew Lennox is to join in September having worked as chief executive at firms Eden Futures and Medical Imaging Partnership.
He is also a former hospital director at Nuffield Health and head of operations at IPG Systems Limited.
He replaces Tom Wright who is stepping down to take up other non-executive director roles. Wright will continue to volunteer with the charity, looking after guide dog mum Dolly.
“I am absolutely delighted to be joining Guide Dogs as their next chief executive,” said Lennox, who has been a trustee of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity since 2017.
“I am looking forward to working alongside a truly dedicated team and volunteers to continue the work they do to help people with sight loss of all ages – and their families – to fulfil their potential and live the life they choose.”
