Big Give’s 2024 Green Match Fund aims to raise £10m

Environmental charities are being urged to apply to take part in match funding platform Big Give’s annual Green Match Fund campaign next year.

The campaign runs from 18 to 25 April 2024 and aims to raise £10m for charities taking part.

This is through donations that are then match funded by the platform's funders, including The Reed Foundation, The Waterloo Foundation and Monday Charitable Trust.

Next year's fundraising aim is double the amount of this year ‘s campaign when £4.35m was raised from 22,456 donations for 178 charities.

Charities that took part includes The Wildlife Trusts, which raised £243,346 and Rewilding Britain, which received £217,370.

Applications to take part in 2024’s campaign are open until 16 January.

“We are pleased to launch our fourth annual Green Match Fund in aid of environment charities across the UK and internationally,” said Big Give managing director Alex Day.

“This will be our biggest and boldest funds target yet as more than ever it’s vital that we support charities working to address the pressing environmental and ecological issues facing us all.

“Moreover this campaign shines a light on this critical area that is often unnoticed by philanthropists.”

The platform aims to raised £1bn for good causes by 2030 through its annual campaigns.
