Match funding platform Big Give is calling on arts and culture charities to apply for its second annual Arts For Impact campaign.
It is hoping to raise £3m for charities taking part in the campaign, which takes place in March 2025 and sees Big Give’s corporate partners match funding donated by the public.
The deadline for applications is December 18.
This year’s campaign is being run in partnership with New Philanthropy for Arts and Culture, which is part of arts funding organisation Figurative.
“With arts charities facing unprecedented challenges, there has never been a more critical time to show support,” said Big Give managing director Alex Day.
“Arts and culture play a crucial role in communities, from improving mental health to enhancing social skills. I urge arts and culture charities across the UK to apply and make the most of this fantastic opportunity.”
Arts Council England executive director Vernon Ellis added: “We were delighted that so many arts organisations used this opportunity last year to launch targeted campaigns to attract new supporters, encouraged by the powerful social impact of their work."
Last year’s inaugural campaign raised £2.85m for 238 charities that took part and drew 12,386 public donations.
Among those to benefit was Sunderland Culture, which raised just under £29,000 and attracted 220 individual donations.
“We didn’t have a track record in individual giving beyond visitor and ticket top-up donations, and no corporate giving,” said a spokesperson for the charity.
“We have seen both in the donors to our campaign through working networks, connections and audiences. I do believe that the match funding via Big Give was key to galvanising people’s support and helped us test the response to an appeal.”
