Agency overhauls community charity’s brand for free

A community support charity in Bolton has received a free rebrand from a local design agency.

The rebrand for Transforming Lives Group has been carried out by design agency Portfolio, which is also based in Bolton.

The rebrand gives the charity a new visual identity, website and involves a focus on real life stories of those supported by creating a digital storytelling platform.

"Portfolio offered to design us a website free of charge,” said Transforming Lives Group’s Lisa Bailey.

“It is incredible and a testament to how we operate here in Bolton. Their support has helped us to take steps forward to strengthen the organisation. By creating a new website and presence on social media and expanding awareness of our work, we hope to attract corporate sponsors, volunteers, donations and help more people in need."

Portfolio founder and creative director Darren Clare added: “This was a chance for us to do something for a great cause.

"Transforming Lives has been around for 10 years and it's time to take that experience and their positive impact to the next level.

“Some of the stories are quite hard hitting - these are the most vulnerable people in our society and we have to do more to help them."

The rebrand features a logo using the T and L of its name that can be revolved “to symbolise movement and change” for the lives of the those supported by the charity.

Portfolio creative lead Shane Haddock said: “Transformation is the overarching theme that runs throughout the rebrand.

“The case studies we've featured are engaging, uplifting, and emotional, showing that ’Turning lives around’ and radical change are possible."
