What inspired the launch of Beyond Boundaries Foundation?
Beyond Boundaries Foundation was founded by Denise Greene to ensure complementary therapies and practices are accessible to the vulnerable in society facing physical, mental and emotional health challenges. After overcoming and adapting to her own health struggles, Denise knows that incorporating holistic practices into her daily lifestyle alongside mainstream medicine plays a key role in her symptom management and health. This combined transformative approach and personal experience truly ignited her passion for empowering others to access the same healing tools, whatever their life situation.
Driven by a desire to break down the barriers of cost and location, Denise established the foundation to provide these therapies and practices alongside traditional healthcare, supporting vulnerable communities. By creating a compassionate, collaborative community and environment, serving as her own best case study, Denise knows the foundation can foster lasting change, helping individuals reclaim and manage their health and wellbeing better.
What makes Beyond Boundaries Foundation different from other wellness-focused charities?
The Beyond Boundaries Foundation is dedicated to providing free, accessible complementary therapies and resources to those in need—whether they are supported by formal institutions, government-funded services, NHS resources, or referred independently by themselves or a medical professional. The charity’s goal is fill a gap by deliverable preventative resources to compliment charities providing essential support for those in crisis. Working in synergy with these charities and government bodies, the Charity hopes it can help reduce the pressure on public sector resources.
Our in-person workshops, therapeutic talks, and holistic events are designed to work alongside conventional medicine, offering a truly integrated approach to health and wellbeing. We also offer The Buzz Hub, our online platform, giving eligible beneficiaries access to expert-led tools, techniques, and practices that support physical, mental and emotional health—anytime, anywhere.
The Buzz Hub is a unique digital offering. How do you see technology playing a role in scaling access to holistic care across the sector?
The Buzz Hub is our uplifting online platform designed to support mental, emotional, and physical health through a wide range of complementary therapies and practices led by qualified and experienced professionals. The Hub empowers individuals to explore what works best for them—helping to relieve stress, overcome challenges, and embrace a more balanced, mobile and fulfilling life.
By The Hub being an online platform, it offers people/users the flexibility and convenience of not having to leave the comfort of their own homes, but most importantly it allows accessibility for all.
Access to The Buzz Hub is completely free of charge for individuals who meet our eligibility criteria, ensuring that those who need it most are never held back by cost. For our generous sponsors and supporters, Hub access is offered as a heartfelt thank you—so you can experience the same powerful tools you help make possible for others.
How do you ensure your services are inclusive and equitable?
We focus on reaching individuals and communities who face barriers due to trauma, health challenges, financial constraints, or institutional settings. This includes those in hospices, care systems, charity-supported housing, and underserved communities.
The Foundation is fully inclusive and does not discriminate; access is guided solely by our eligibility policy to ensure fairness and focus where it’s needed most.
Official bodies, healthcare professionals, and institutions can contact us directly for referrals and collaboration. Individuals can self-refer easily via the form on our website.
Can you share any learnings from your first fundraising event that might benefit other new or growing charities?
Plan and support are the key takeaways, I think. However, much planning you try to allow, allow more as there are often so many tasks that need ticking off the list than you realise. Having a great support team is also crucial and don’t worry about asking for help and delegating, everyone involved in the event is there as they believe in what you are doing. Also having the support of local businesses and residents really made the event what it was and if you happen to have a great network of contacts use it to help spread the word.
