Bernie Grant Arts Centre

The Bernie Grant Arts Centre (BGAC) has announced the appointment of Bridget Banton as its new CEO, taking the helm as the centre approaches its 20th anniversary and Haringey’s year as London Borough of Culture in 2027.

Banton’s 25-year career spans television, publishing, digital media, and youth culture. She has held senior leadership roles at Channel 4, Paramount, BBC, Penguin Random House, and Nike’s Girl Effect, and founded Dear Creative Gurl, a consultancy supporting mission-driven organisations with storytelling and content strategies.

Her broader sector contributions include long-standing membership within BAFTA, including as part of the BAFTA Membership Council, trusteeship as a Board Governor of the London Museum, and fellowship at the RSA.

Motor Neurone Disease Association

The Motor Neurone Disease Association has welcomed Quinton Newell as the charity’s first Chief Operating Officer.

As Chief Operating Officer, Newell will lead Finance, Technology, Facilities and Strategy, taking responsibility for risk management, annual planning, quality improvement, procurement, legal, compliance and assurance.

He brings a wealth of experience from his 25-year career working in both public and third sector organisations that fund research. He joins the Association from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Central Commissioning Facility. Prior to that, Quinton spent 14 years at Cancer Research UK.

National Children's Bureau

The National Children’s Bureau (NCB) has announced the appointment of Sarah Mullen as its new chair of the board.

She has expertise in charity governance and strategy, having previously chaired Bliss, the national charity for premature and sick babies, and Respect, a national domestic abuse charity.

She has been an NCB trustee since 2022 and became Vice-Chair in 2023. Mullen replaces Alison O’Sullivan, who is stepping down as Chair of the NCB Board of Trustees at the end of her second term in December. Mullen will take up her new role at the start of January 2026.
