The charity has been supporting people for more than 30 years, running wellbeing activities, peer support and one to one care.
The charity Mental Health Resource is to cease operating next month citing financial concerns.
Trustees at the West Kent based support charity says that “after many years supporting mental health in our community, rising costs and reduced funding mean we can no longer continue”.
They have confirmed that its final day of operation will be 30 January 2026.
“For over 30 years, we’ve been honoured to help thousands through wellbeing activities, peer support and one-to-one care,” they said.
“None of this would’ve been possible without our incredible team, funders, partners, volunteers, fundraisers and supporters in the community. We’ll do all that we can to support people during this transition and share details of other help available.”
They added: “Mental Health Resource has been dedicated to supporting people to improve their mental and emotional wellbeing.
“We have proudly delivered free services throughout West Kent, created safe spaces for people and provided on-going, person-centred care.”
According to the charity register its income for the financial year ending March 2024 was £483,176, while it spent £456,730 over the same period.
They are the second Kent based charity to announce their closure in as many months.
In November homelessness charity Gillingham Street Angels said it had “not found a workable pathway to recover” following alleged “imprudent” financial decisions taken in the past.
