Rare cancer charity names next CEO

Leeds based medical research charity The Bone Cancer Research Trust has appointed Will Burchell as its next chief executive.

He most recently held the same role at Nottinghamshire Deaf Society and joins the Trust next month.

While at the Bone Cancer Research Trust he will continue his role as trustee at Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service.



“I’m thrilled to be joining the Bone Cancer Research Trust at such an exciting time for the charity,” said Burchill.

“The passion, commitment and expertise of staff, trustees, and supporters of” the charity “is nothing short of inspiring,” he added.

Bone Cancer Research Trust chair Allie Gartland said: “Will’s wealth of expertise in the charity sector and exceptional leadership skills will enable us to continue to develop and grow, alongside driving forward the charity’s strategic direction following the launch of our new 10-year strategy.”
