Marketing firm offers charities free press release service

Marketing firm 10Yetis is to offer a free press release service to a different charity each month.

It is inviting charities to sign up to the initiative and its team will select on charity or a start up each month at random to create a press release for. This includes helping with ideas, writing, distribution and contacting relevant journalists.

In addition, the organisation selected each month for the press release service will receive advice from the firm's public relations team to help with their longer term PR and marketing efforts.

The initiative had been run by the marketing firm until 2020 but had been put on hold for the last three years.

"Working with charities and start-ups is definitely some of the most rewarding work that we do here at 10 Yetis,” said the marketing firm’s managing director Shannon Peerless.

“I have been a part of the agency for almost 15 years now and, during that time, have been lucky enough to work on and witness the incredible things great PR can do, especially for start-ups and charities.

“We know that marketing budgets for these organisations are often extremely limited, which prevents them from being able to have a really good crack at getting the word out about what they’re doing.

“We think it’s an honour to play a small part in trying to elevate charity and start-up PR up a level or two, and we’re looking forward to giving back once again to hopefully achieve great things for the organisations that come forward.”
