Christmas gaming for good event raises £2.6m

Annual festive gaming for good event Jingle Jam has raised £2.6m for its charity partners, which is marginally down on last year’s total.

This year’s event took place last week and included Twitch streamers such as TommyInnit, Talia Mar, Tubbo, RTGame, and The Yogscast.

Eight charities benefitted from this year’s event: Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), War Child, Autistica, Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal, Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC), Cool Earth, Sarcoma UK and The Trevor Project.

The event has been taking place since 2011 and involves games industry figures.

“Thank you to all our amazing fundraisers, games publisher and developer partners who donated keys, our volunteer team, and you at home for tuning in and contributing,” said organisers.

“It was an exceptional Jingle Jam—and we absolutely couldn't have done it without all of you. Your donations will make an incredible difference to children and young people worldwide.”

Last year’s event raised £2.7m and involved 12 charity partners.
