Speaker Profile: Angela Salt

Angela joined Girlguiding as CEO in 2019. Girlguiding exists to help girls and young women find their voice, and build skills and confidence – inspiring them to discover the best in themselves and empower them to make a positive difference in their community. 

Prior to joining Girlguiding, she worked as consultant and philanthropy advisor and before that was Chief Executive of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, which focused on education, leadership and research.  

Angela began her career as a teacher but then went on to build her expertise in communications and media roles becoming the Director of Communications at the Millennium Commission and at the Electoral Commission.As Head of Nations and Regions for LOCOG (London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic games), Angela was responsible for leading engagement with individuals and groups across the UK on a wide range of projects.  Later Angela was responsible for Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) UK operations.
