Speaker profile: Sue George

Sue George has worked in the Volunteering sector for fifteen years. She started her career at British Heart Foundation (BHF) within the retail volunteering team before progressing to the role of Volunteering Development Manager, collaborating across all volunteer facing functions and contributing to volunteer policies and the development of  BHF’s volunteer strategy. Sue’s current role is the Product Owner for MyVolunteer, BHF’s volunteering onboarding platform. Originally part of the MyVolunteer project team since 2021, Sue played a key role in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of its features. Now as Product Owner, Sue works closely with her customers and the supplier to ensure the BHF is maximising the value from the product and ensuring the BHF offers a flexible, easy and inclusive way to engage volunteers in its work.
