Speaker Profile: Bushra Ahmed

Bushra is a business leader, board advisor, strategic consultant and community activist with over 25 years of experience in strategy, governance, finance and community engagement. A highly respected public speaker, she leverages her lived experience to advocate for social justice.

Bushra is currently Board Advisor to the Alliance For Gender Equality in Europe and BeVisioneers Global Fellowship at MercedesBenz and is a Trustee of Lloyds Bank Foundation, 50:50 Parliament and United In Design. She is also on the Survivors Advisory Panel at National Emergencies Trust.

In 2024, she was an agenda setter at the global summit for The Do, led a session at the UNESCO Civil Society AGM in Paris on the Knit Project collaboration with the H&M Foundation and did a podcast for UNESCO & ACWW on “Women in Leadership and Equality”

Recognised for her impact, Bushra was shortlisted for the National Diversity Awards 2023 as a Positive Role Model for Gender and was named as Equality X Top 50 Influential Muslims in Europe in both 2023 and 2024 as well as being awarded the Freedom of the City Of London in 2025
