The Greenwich Foundation for the Old Royal Naval College is looking to appoint a Database and Gifts Officer to join our Development team as we implement a new revenue fundraising strategy.
The post holder’s key responsibilities will be to establish data management processes and policies and ensure the database is being used to its full potential, compliant with the Data Protection Act 2018. They will support effective stakeholder engagement and contribute to the development of sophisticated fundraising systems through the maintenance of the Foundation’s CRM system (thankQ) and delivery of data segmentation and analysis, prospect and gift tracking, financial reporting and staff training. Reporting directly into the Head of Development they will play a vital role in establishing a new fundraising operation at the Old Royal Naval College.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements:
• Proven experience of maintaining and developing CRM systems for charities or cultural organisations, including knowledge of Gift Aid and data protection.
• A good understanding of using databases as a fundraising/marketing tool and the importance of data capture, segmentation, prospect and gift tracking and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and an ability to work efficiently, prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.
